Green Pastures, a historic Victorian home which has transformed into a restaurant, was once the home of a famous civil rights activist John Henry Faulk. The property is called Green Pastures because the house sat on 23 acres of land that borders a beautifully green and wooded area. The Green Pastures restaurants opened its doors in 1946. The restaurant was founded my Mary Faulk-Koock and Chester Koock. Mary authored the First Texas Cookbook and was prominent in Austin social entertaining.

Menu includes prime steaks and seafood with southern classics like bread pudding and Bananas Foster.
A great place for celebrating your birthday, anniversary or special occasion.

Peafowl roam the grounds and roost in the giant live oaks in the evening.
