Texas-based, family owned Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is proud to call Austin’s historic Norwood Tower home. It was more than 30 years ago when Perry’s began as a modest meat market. Today, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille continues to gain loyal fans by providing a memorable culinary experience set in comfortable, casual elegance. Perry’s is located downtown at 114 West 7th Street, within easy walking distance of the Capital Complex and other downtown landmarks.
Known for its butcher-fresh Prime beef, dry-aged in house for 28 days, Perry’s is also famous for a mouth-watering pork chop. Their award-winning menu is filled with culinary creations such as their signature fried asparagus, tableside chateaubriand, symphony kabob of Filet Mignon, shrimp and lobster, incredible side dishes, and delectable flaming desserts.
For meetings, family get-togethers and special occasions, Perry’s offers five private dining rooms styled after the city itself, including the Capitol Room, the Longhorn Room and the Vault Room, a special dining room that reflects the space’s history as a bank and features an entrance through the original vault door.
The popular Bar 79 presents an inviting Social Hour Monday through Friday, 4 to 6:30 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday where you can enjoy half-priced appetizers and specially priced wines and martinis, including Perry’s own private-label Reserve Chardonnay, Meritage and Cabernet Sauvignon. With covered patio seating for dining, Bar 79 offers a special venue to enjoy a fun evening with friends. What began as a small butcher shop in 1979 has grown into one of the premier steakhouses in Texas that is both rare and well done.
